REGISTRATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Binding Commitment:
    Registration for the Pan Mediterranean Geotechnical Engineering Conference (PMGEC) is considered a binding agreement. By submitting the registration form and completing payment, participants agree to abide by the conference’s terms and conditions.
  • Online Registration:
    All registrations must be completed through the official PMGEC online registration platform. After submitting your registration and completing payment, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided. This confirmation serves as your official proof of registration.
  • Payment Requirement:
    Registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment. Until payment is received, your registration will be considered provisional. 
  • Delegate Categories:
    • Professionals: Participants who do not qualify under the categories of Young Members or Students.
    • Young Professionals: Delegates under the age of 35 at the time of registration. A valid form of identification (national ID or passport) confirming date of birth must be uploaded during registration.
    • Students: Individuals under 26 years of age who are enrolled in a full-time academic program.
      • Required Documentation:
        Students must upload proof of student status at the time of registration. Acceptable documents include: A valid student ID card, or a recent receipt showing tuition or academic fees paid.
  • Verification and Approval:
    PMGEC reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants registered under discounted categories (Young Professionals and Students). If the required documentation is missing or does not meet eligibility criteria, the registration may be revised to the appropriate category, and the participant will be notified accordingly.
  • Changes or Cancellations:
    Any requests to modify or cancel your registration must be submitted in writing to the conference secretariat. Applicable cancellation policies and deadlines will be outlined separately under the “Cancellation Policy” section.

TRAVEL VISA REQUIREMENTS / INVITATION LETTER 

It is the attendee’s sole responsibility to take care of visa requirements. If you require an entry visa, you must allow sufficient time for the visa application procedure. You can share your registration details with the responsible authorities. However, PMGEC will not contact embassies and consulates on your behalf. To receive an invitation letter for the conference, you must first register and pay the registration fees in full. INSURANCE

It is the responsibility of the attendee to arrange appropriate insurance they may desire in connection with their attendance at the conference. PMGEC shall not be liable for any loss, liability or damage to personal property.

PRIVACY DISCLAIMER

  • Personal Details
    By registering for PMGEC, your name, organization, and country may be included in a delegate list and shared, if necessary, with parties directly involved in the conference. These may include venues, accommodation providers, sponsors, key suppliers, and organizers of future PMGEC events. To protect your privacy, your email address and other personal information will remain confidential and will not be shared outside of The Pan Mediterranean Geotechnical Engineering Conference (PMGEC) and the secretariat of the Lebanese Geotechnical Engineering Society (LGES), unless you have agreed and indicated your consent by ticking the relevant box in the registration form.


CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

  • Notification of Cancellation
    All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the PMGEC 2026 Secretariat via email (registration@pmgec-leb.com). Cancellations will not be accepted by phone or through social media.
  • Refund Schedule
    Cancellations received before February 25, 2026, will be eligible for a 90% refund of the registration fee; a 10% administrative fee will be retained.
    No refunds will be issued for cancellations made on or after February 25, 2026.
  • Substitution Policy
    If you are unable to attend, you may nominate a substitute delegate from your organization at no additional cost. All substitution requests must be made in writing and approved by the conference secretariat via email (registration@pmgec-leb.com).
  • No-Show Policy
    Registered delegates who do not attend the conference and have not formally canceled, according to the date mentioned above, will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Event Cancellation
    In the unlikely event that PMGEC is cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of the organizers (force majeure), 90% of the registration fee will be refunded; a 10% administrative fee will be retained.
  • Event Postponement
    In the unlikely event that PMGEC is postponed due to circumstances beyond the control of the organizers (force majeure) and if the registrant is unable to attend on the rescheduled date, 90% of the registration fee will be refunded; a 10% administrative fee will be retained.
  • Travel Visa Related
    Please note that failure to obtain a visa to Lebanon will not be considered a valid reason for cancellation, and no refund or cancellation allowance will be granted in such cases.

PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Online registration must be completed using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or debit card. Kindly note that the charges via credit/debit card will appear as being from “Infomed International for Events S.A.R.L” on your bank statement. For more information please do not hesitate to contact us.
  • Local participants (Lebanese) may alternatively pay through OMT, and payment is required to be settled within 3 working days of submitting the registration form.

    KINDLY NOTE: All transaction payments via OMT are to be paid by the delegate/registrant. You can find the nearest OMT Agent/Location on OMT website: https://www.omt.com.lb/en/contact/network
    Step 2: After completing the transaction, please send an email to registration@pmgec-leb.com attaching a copy of the payment receipt as a confirmation. After sending your payment receipt, please allow us a few business hours to verify your money transfer.
  • For on-site late fee registration, payments can be made in cash only.


E-PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1- Your payment will normally reach Infomed International for Events S.A.R.L.(DMCC Branch) Bank account within five working days. Infomed International for Events S.A.R.L (DMCC Branch) cannot be held responsible or liable for any delayed payments.

2- Infomed International for Events S.A.R.L (DMCC Brnach) cannot accept any liability or responsibility for any payment being proceeded on the wrong account if you supply inaccurate information.

3- Infomed International for Events S.A.R.L (DMCC Branch) cannot accept any liability if any payment is refused or declined by your credit/debit card supplier for any reason.

4- If your card supplier declines payment, Infomed International for Events S.A.R.L(DMCC Branch) is under no obligation to bring this fact to your attention. It is your own responsibility to check if such payment has been deducted from your account.

5- The data that you provide during online payment transactions is securely held by Infomed International for Events S.A.R.L (DMCC Branch ) e-commerce provider and will only be used for the purpose of recording your payment and for accounting processes.

6- Your data will be treated confidentially and with the utmost care and respect. We shall ensure that the data is used for no other purposes and will not be disclosed to any third party, except in respect of data that it is necessary to be provided to Infomed service providers such as e-commerce provider who will be processing this information on Infomed behalf. In limited, exceptional circumstances Infomed may be required to disclose data to other third parties, for example where this is necessary to comply with the law. Our e-commerce provider will retain some personal information so that we can access payment records in the event of queries or incomplete payment information. Any credit or debit card details given by you will not be retained in their entirety. Information will only be retained for a reasonable period and then destroyed securely.

7- In no event will Infomed International for Events S.A.R.L (DMCC Branch) be liable for any direct or indirect damages, costs or fees whatsoever arising out of the use, inability to use, or the results of use of this site, or websites linked to this site, or the materials or information contained at any or all such sites, whether based on warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory and whether or not advised of the possibility of such damages.
