The Inaugural PMGEC Rescheduled — Beirut Remains Home
CHAIR MESSAGE AT A GLANCE
◉ Decision: After high-level consultations with ISSMGE leadership, we have reaffirmed Beirut as the home for the inaugural PMGEC.
◉ Anticipated Dates: October 29–31, 2026.
◉ Safety & Participation: Our recalibrated timeline ensures a safe environment and the opportunity for full, global participation.
◉ Next Step: A final confirmation of these dates will be issued following our leadership meeting at the 21st ICSMGE in Vienna this June.

Status update
PMGEC will not take place in March 2026 as scheduled
Due to the current regional situation, we regret to inform you that PMGEC 2026 will not take place as scheduled – March 25-28, 2026.
Participants who have already made travel arrangements may wish to review the airline bookings at this stage.
We kindly invite you to regularly check your email and the conference website for further updates.
The Organizing Committee is meeting next week to determine the best path forward for our inaugural event.
We will reach out with a final decision and further details following this meeting.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and thank you for your support of PMGEC.
