This intensive workshop is designed for practicing geotechnical engineers and focuses on practical design applications in settlement, foundation, and seismic analysis. Participants will engage in hands-on exercises using industry-leading geotechnical software, including Settle3, RSLog, RSPile, RS3, and RSSeismic. The workshop emphasizes real-world design challenges, advanced modeling techniques, and the integration of field data into design workflows.

INTRODUCTION TO GEOSYNTHETICS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS

Geosynthetics are versatile materials increasingly used in geotechnical, hydraulic, and environmental engineering. This workshop introduces the fundamentals of geosynthetics and showcases their practical applications through case studies and demonstrations.
Participants will gain both technical knowledge and insights into innovative solutions for sustainable construction.

Musical Moment

VISIT MIM MINERAL MUSEUM

Visitors will explore minerals originating from more than 75 countries, with exhibits featuring Radioactive Minerals and Fluorescent Minerals, Trophies, and a spectacular Treasure Room displaying the rarest metals and gemstones. The museum also houses meteorite specimens and, since 2016, a Lebanese Paleontology section showcasing exquisite fossils of marine and terrestrial species.

Through this visit, participants will explore how the museum bridges the historical, industrial, economic, and aesthetic aspects of mineralogy, contributing to Lebanon’s cultural and scientific heritage.
